As some of you probably know, doing an engagement session in DC during peak cherry blossom time can be a magic act to try to avoid the crowds. I always do cherry blossom engagement sessions at sunrise, and that definitely helps a lot. On this particular morning we almost had the Tidal Basin to ourselves…because it was 35 degrees and windy. If you’re thinking “wow Emily must have been REALLY cold in that dress” you’re not alone. I’ve done quite a few adventurous engagement sessions but this might be the most impressed I’ve ever been by a soon-to-be bride.
